CAPRI handles the preparation and the drafting of French and foreign patent applications. The principal technical fields concerned are the following:
We undertake the filing procedures and monitor the examination procedures until the granting of the patents in the different Patent Offices:
Institut National de la Propriété Industrielle in Paris (INPI)
European Patent Office in Munich and The Hague (EPO)
World Intellectual Property Office in Geneva (WIPO)
National offices in all countries of the world.
We also take care of the validation and maintenance of patent rights in France and other countries.
We also handle post-grant opposition procedures at INPI, at the EPO and abroad.
CAPRI files hundreds of patents on behalf of its clients, a large part of which abroad, and more specifically in Europe, the USA, Canada, Japan, China, South Korea, India, Australia and Brazil. This has enabled us to acquire solid experience and cutting-edge expertise both in France and abroad.
An international company is developing a new product.
CAPRI files several patents to protect the various technical principles of the product. At the same time, we recommend filing so-called blocking patents on possible variants that may be implemented by competitors. We also recommend checking the freedom to operate of the new product, in particular through prior art searches.
